Leonard and Virginia Woolf married in 1912 and together they founded the Hogarth Press in 1917. Virginia became one of the leading modernist novelists of the 20th century while Leonard worked as an author, political theorist, and publisher. The couple had no children and remained married until Virginia's death by suicide in 1941; Leonard continued to run the Hogarth Press and lived until 1969.
- How they met
